Yoga Nidra is the yoga of sleep. Our training presents the history and origin of Yoga Nidra, offers an introduction to the Central Nervous System and its relation to Nidra, and reviews various types of Yoga Nidra - including iRest. Students can also expect to learn about indirect and abstract association, states of being, and trauma-informed practices. You will receive pre-written scripts, as well as learn to create your own. Our online Yoga Nidra training provides students with the scientific research that supports the practice of Yoga Nidra and demonstrates how to effectively utilize this powerful healing tool with clients healing from trauma and searching for balance. This training is appropriate not just for yoga practitioners, but also mental health professionals such as counselors, social workers, and holistic health coaches.

Trauma-Informed Yoga begins with an overview of the Central Nervous System, the neurobiology of trauma, and how it is stored in the body. Our course will discuss the stress response, pratipaksha bhavana, and the healing cycle. Learn how yoga is related to mental health, and what you can do as a practitioner and teacher to hold space for yourself and your students. Our Trauma-Informed Yoga training is perfect for medical professionals, therapists, or yoga teachers working with populations who are recovering from trauma, or for practitioners looking to inform and deepen their practice.

Each Yoga Therapy course in this bundle is eligible for 20 CEUs, each CEU course is eligible for 40 CEUs with Yoga Alliance.

My yoga practice began in 2004 in Kuwait after the birth of my oldest son. I was looking for a way to get back into shape while cultivating some balance in my life. I studied Ashtanga Yoga both privately with my teacher and independently for a decade before I decided to take my practice to the next level.

I hold a M.Ed in Curriculum Development, I'm an E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance, and I'm a C-IAYT Yoga Therapists serving populations in Eating Recovery, Behavioral Health, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Over the past decade, I've built a sustainable company in the health and wellness space that is geared to professionalizing the industry and creating equitable employment opportunities.

I teach public classes in Austin, Texas, I teach corporate classes and private classes as my schedule permits, and I host workshops and retreats. In 2020 I open my first yoga studio near at Jacob Fontaine Lane and we are opening our second studio on South Congress in 2023. It is an honor to be of service in this community.
