Due To COVID-19, We Have Moved Our Training Online. Our Yoga Teacher Training Is Approved Through Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance's temporary provision to allow training to be facilitated online has been extended to December 31, 2020.
How it Works
Connect With Your Mentor
Access our trainings anytime from anywhere in the world. Deepen your practice and enhance your teacher toolkit with our courses and trainings.
Our program is an alternative to traditional Yoga Teacher Trainings in a studio while still maintaining the integrity in training, depth of learning, and personalized experience one should expect in a Yoga Teacher Training. Upon completion of our program, teachers are eligible to teach private clients, groups, and corporate clients. Students will be prepared to teach in studio, gym, retreat, and clinical settings. My Vinyasa Practice is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. As of March 2020, Yoga Alliance instructed its RYS to move their training programs online. Our 300 hour Yoga Teacher training is currently being facilitated online. Students can complete the entire training online through December 31st and register with Yoga Alliance upon successful completion. You can find our YA profile HERE.
Register anytime and access prerecorded video lectures, written content and office hours. Zoom meetings are held weekly on Saturday and Sunday and are recorded for those who cannot attend. Trainees receive a free week of live stream asana classes through our virtual studio and mentor support along the way. Each week there are several opportunities for office hours where trainees can ask questions and get clarification in real time. Once trainees graduate they maintain access to training materials for life and will be fully certified to teach yoga. Students who graduate before December 31st. will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance under their temporary provisions to allow the facilitation of training online.
Our Applied Yoga Certification combines our 300 hour yoga teacher training with an additional 200 hours of clinical applications training that thoroughly prepares you to work one on one with clients or in clinical settings. Once you have completed your training you will receive both your 300 hour certificate and your Applied Yoga Certification. You will be able to teach at the 500 hour level and work alongside healthcare professionals. This training represents Module 1 of our Clinical Yoga Therapy program that is currently in the accreditation process with IAYT. Upon completion, students will be eligible to enter into our Yoga Therapy program at Module 2.

A transformative experience that deepens your practice, heightens your understanding of yogic philosophy and concepts, and allows you to teach yoga at an advanced level.
My name is Michelle Young, and I'm the owner of My Vinyasa Practice. My yoga practice began in 2004 in Kuwait after the birth of my oldest son. The foundation of my teaching is built on one concept: the student always comes first. When we take the role as a teacher, it is our job to come to our students empty of our own agendas, and simply impart knowledge when the student is ready.
I am currently an E-RYT 500 registered with Yoga Alliance and a C-IAYT Yoga Therapists specializing in Eating Recovery and Cardiac Rehabilitation. I lead yoga teacher training in Austin, TX as well as abroad on international intensive retreats. I have a passion for teaching and learning the wisdom teachings found within the philosophy and methodology of yoga. I look forward to sharing our trainings with you!
