How it Works
Yoga Training Facilitated Online
Micaela has trained under MVP CEO Michelle Young and feels strongly about making yoga accessible. She enjoys teaching many forms of yoga and believes strongly in the healing potential of the sacred practice. She knew immediately that teaching beginners would become something she would pursue. She enjoys holding space for yogis at the beginning of their journey as they begin to explore embodiment, breath to movement, and themselves on a deeper level. She is honored to share this sacred practice with others, of all experience levels, looking to get to know themselves a bit better and find healing.
This course is designed to hold space for those wishing to begin their personal yoga practice, those who may have taken some away from their mat and are looking for a compassionate guide back, and yoga teachers interested in learning how to teach beginners. You can expect to find information on what yoga is, why we practice yoga, common poses, and ways to support yourself with props, as well as yoga practice videos. We will touch on Sanskrit, the ancient language of India, and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. You will be invited to practice svadhyaya, or self-study, through journaling and mindfulness. You will feel comfortable entering a public yoga class and confident supporting your at-home practice. You will find various forms of information throughout the course from written lectures, video lectures, pre-recorded yoga practices, as well as journaling prompts, and invitations to reflect on the application of the information learned in this course.
Flexible Access with Community Connection
All of the content in this course is pre-recorded for you to view on your time at your pace. You also have access to direct support from Micaela via email as well as the ability to schedule 1:1 time via Zoom if desired.
What You'll Learn

Micaela, RYT-500, is an Austin native, born and raised in the heart of Texas. She found her passion for yoga in her senior year of college as a form of stress relief, and it has carried her through to her personal practice. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Texas State University with an Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree, she realized her purpose- to share the practice of Yoga that provided her with the spiritual outlet and personal acceptance she was searching for. She became certified to teach Vinyasa and Flow while continuing to get her 300hr certification. She brings low-fi beats, her contagious passion, and cheery demeanor into the classroom, all while striving to provide projection-free guidance and an inclusive atmosphere.
