The online training is laid out in weekly formats that guide students through the readings, videos, and other course content. This online program can be completed in as little as 4 weeks, but students are encouraged to take the time they need to connect with the curriculum, heighten their understanding, and deepen their practice. You will receive dedicated support from our Lead Trainers and Peer Support team, who are available throughout training to help answer questions and offer feedback.
This course is intended for students looking to deepen their own practice, as well as teachers wanting to enhance their foundations training. Once you have completed your training you will receive your certificate for advanced sequencing. All online trainings are approved continuing education courses through Yoga Alliance and can be used to fulfill CEU requirements. This course counts towards 40 non-contact hours with Yoga Alliance.
Our Advanced Sequencing training will teach you how to create blocks of poses that progress towards more advanced postures. Learn how to use transitions to seamlessly link pose blocks together in order to progress students in a more measurable way. Students will also learn about the fundamental movements in the major joint systems of the body, how to group asanas that address these major joint systems, and the transitions in and out of neutral joint positions. At the completion, you will be confident in knowing how to advance students' practice through progressive sequencing.

My name is Michelle Young, and I'm the owner of My Vinyasa Practice. My yoga practice began in 2004 in Kuwait after the birth of my oldest son. The foundation of my teaching is built on one concept: the student always comes first. When we take the role as a teacher, it is our job to come to our students empty of our own agendas, and simply impart knowledge when the student is ready.
I am currently an E-RYT 500 registered with Yoga Alliance and a C-IAYT Yoga Therapists specializing in Eating Recovery and Cardiac Rehabilitation. I lead yoga teacher training in Austin, TX as well as abroad on international intensive retreats. I have a passion for teaching and learning the wisdom teachings found within the philosophy and methodology of yoga. I look forward to sharing our trainings with you!
